Beautiful Paddy Fields
These pictures was taken about several months ago in a small village in Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, which still has a grand paddy-field with hills as its backdrop. As far as the eye can see, all you see was paddy-fields. This view was so beautiful so as a thought of 'how fortunate are the people who live here so that they can enjoy this view every day, every morning and evening, from the sun rise to the sun set' came across my mind.
It's so easy to reach this place from the central of Yogyakarta: Tugu Jogja (the iconic Yogyakarta monument). From Tugu Jogja, we just have to go straight to the west (just follow the road to the west) until you enter Kulon Progo region and find beautiful view of paddy-fields as far as your eyes can see with hills at the back. You can also find some outdoor eatery spots here which serve local countryside cuisine (masakan ndeso), such as rice, sayur lodeh, tempe cabe ijo, tempe garit, gudeg, ceker bacem, sayur asem, sauteed papaya leaves, omelet, sambal, fried bananas, tea, orange squeeze, coffee, and so on.
At first, when my sister said that we're going to a countryside with very wide paddy-fields, I was expecting to see an all green scenery (with a hope that I can also find a blue sky), but never expected that I would also stumbled upon these beautiful orange and yellow wild flowers that was by chance a perfect match to my skirt! The color-combination of these flowers, paddy-fields, and the sky was so magnificent. How beautiful is Allah`s creation!
I really enjoyed the view and taking pictures of it. I enjoyed spending time here with my family and picking flowers with these sweet little photo-bombers.. (last picture).
